MMSU Global Association Hawaii Chapter donates USD 5,000 for Academic Excellence Scholarship Program
The Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) Global Association, Inc. – Hawaii Chapter has donated USD 5,000 to fund the MMSU Global Academic Excellence Scholarship Program, a continuing initiative to support deserving MMSU students.
The donation was raised during the Samiweng Singers Concert and Installation of MGA Officers held on May 31, 2025, in Honolulu, Hawaii. On the same occasion, the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the scholarship program was also signed between MGA President Mr. Lawrence G. Patricio and MMSU President Dr. Virgilio Julius P. Manzano Jr.
In addition to the chapter’s initial donation, USD 2,156 was given by alumni and guests who attended the Honolulu event. Earlier this year, during the MGA Coronation and Ball held on February 19, 2025, at Teatro Ilocandia, alumni also contributed ₱37,050 to further sustain the program.
All funds generated are projected to sustain the MMSU Global Academic Excellence Scholarship Program until School Year 2028–2029.
The MMSU Global Association, Inc. – Hawaii Chapter is led by Mr. Lawrence G. Patricio, BSBA Accounting, Class of 1993, whose leadership continues to inspire the global alumni community in advancing the university’s mission of academic excellence and global engagement.
