MMSU PRAISE Awards honors 2024 achievers

Mariano Marcos State University held its 2025 Program on Awards and Incentive for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Awards on January 27 at Teatro Ilocandia to recognize the exemplary contributions of its faculty and employees.
Grounded in the Civil Service Commission Memorandum Circular No. 1, series of 2001, the university honored 355 awardees for 2024, which comprises 10 Outstanding Achievers, 114 Presidential ACHIEVE Awardees, 98 Publication and Intellectual Property Awardees, 31 Retirees, and 102 Loyalty Awardees.
In the Most Outstanding Awards, the university recognized the outstanding employees in the workforce. The awardees included Dr. Jahnese Asuncion as Outstanding Teacher, Prof. Ernesto Del Rosario as Outstanding Faculty Researcher, Dr. Charlie Batin as Outstanding Faculty Extensionist, Dr. Dionisio Bucao as Outstanding Full-Time Researcher, Ms. Maingelline Vivit as Outstanding Research Support Staff, Mr. Christian Jay Subaste as Outstanding General Administrative Support Staff, Mr. Junel Biding as Outstanding Academic Support Staff, and Mr. Skyjoy Bulong as Outstanding Business Worker. Each awardee received a plaque and a cash prize of Php 10,000.
The College of Health Sciences received the Timpuyog Award for its commitment to maintaining consistent top performances in board examinations, and the Extension Directorate was honored with the Rimat Award for its dedication to advancing the university’s community-driven initiatives. Both awards included plaques and cash prizes.
Employees who received regional, national, and international awards were also recognized with the Presidential ACHIEVE Awards. Several units, colleges, staff, and alumni were awarded for enhancing the reputation of MMSU globally. These contributions include degree programs with outstanding performance in licensure exams and topnotchers, employees who attained advanced degrees, degree programs with Level IV accreditation status, and exemplary gender and development implementers.
The university also bestowed awards for those who published, registered, and presented their research and innovations at regional, national, and international levels.
Additionally, the awarding ceremony celebrated the dedication and loyalty of employees, presenting Loyalty Awards to those who have served for 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 years. Moreover, the university honored the retirees for their relentless service to MMSU.
As Chairperson of the PAISE Committee, Atty. Brian Corpuz, Director of Administrative Services, emphasized the collective value of all employees. He recognized the significant impact of seemingly ordinary efforts and their immeasurable worth in service. He encouraged the employees to embody these virtues and to "never stop doing good because it is always worth fighting for."
MMSU OIC-President Dr. Prima Fe R. Franco congratulated the awardees and encouraged them to strive for even greater achievements, inspiring others to work harder for future recognition. "This recognition highlights individuals who excelled in 2024 and challenges the MMSU community to aim for the 2025 awards.”
